Bobbi Brown’s 10 super wearable lipstick colors: Salmon, Beige, Raisin, Brown, Rose, Pink, Orange, Blackberry, Burnt Red and Red were the first ever created! In 1991, these 10 lip colors debuted at Bergdorf Goodman in New York and were a huge unexpected success. Ever since the lipsticks, numbered from 1 to 10, remained in the Bobbi Brown Collection!
Years passed by, various lipsticks (besides other make-up products) were added to the Bobbi Brown brand.
Today, however, we will focus on the newest lip collection, namely THE CRUSHED LIP COLORS! I will be answering the five most asked questions regarding these lipsticks 😉
This collection consists of 20 beautiful shades, which include; nudes, summer-shades and bold shades – making it an all year round wearable collection!
1. Do they stay on?
I have used them a lot since the launch and once I applied the lipstick I did not have to be bothered by it through-out the day. The colors stick to you lips like a stain without feeling dry and/or rough.
2. What makes them different from others?
The Crushed lip color contains vitamin E, A and also Beeswax for a comfortable and smooth application. This makes it the perfect lipstick with the benefits of a balm. The crushed pigments give you the right amount of pigmentation whereas the balm makes sure you lips are happy and healthy! 🙂
It’s a swipe-and-go formula, easy to apply without a mirror!
3. How do these lip colors feel?
I have dry lips, especially during the winter. Therefore, I really enjoy these lipsticks, as I don’t need a balm first. My lips are hydrated the entire day and they don’t crack as the vitamins nourish very well.
4. What finish do they have?
At first they feel creamy and have a bit of a shine, due to the balmy texture. However, they settle down within a few minutes to a more natural (semi matte) finish. The finish is appropriate for day and night, nothing disturbing yet making the lips appear very healthy.
5. Worth the price?
The Crushed lip colors retail for 28 EUR ($29) for 3.4g/0.12 oz. which is a the regular amount of product you get elsewhere. I feel it’s worth it, because if you have to apply a lip-balm first and then your usual lipstick on top of it, you:
- have to carry two products;
- end up spending more, as the Bobbi Brown Lip Balm sells for 24 EUR and any other Bobbi Brown lip colors start from approx. 27,50 EUR.
I feel it’s a great deal! 🙂
