Bounce your Hair!
Do you have thin hair? Is your hair super-flat? Or do you just want to add volume to your hair? I think I have the solution for you! It’s fast, it’s easy and you just need one product!
At the end of this post, there is a ‘story of success.’ Want to know more about it? Keep reading until the END – Thanks Lovies!
December has started, meaning that Christmas is just around the corner, and so is 2017! There are plenty of parties going on and still coming up, so you want to add that extra volume or thickness to your hair.
Therefore, I will be giving you a step-by-step guide towards bouncy hair 🙂
I have a lot of hair on my head; however, it’s quite thin. Nevertheless, I am blessed with curly hair and it doesn’t seem thin at all for the first two days after washing.
However, when my hair starts to become greasy, it becomes heavier and the curls slowly start disappearing. Moreover, the curls are just hanging there – there is no texture to them.
Of course, we ladies aren’t easily satisfied. Moreover, why should we? We want to become better, look better and that’s why we put in the effort. At the same time, I don’t want to put in needless effort.
So, here I am giving away my secret to get this hair:
Compared to my own air-dried hair after just shampooing it, this hair has sooo much more texture. When you walk, it bounces so beautifully – it’s just amazing!
Ok, enough – I am going to take you right to the steps:
Step 1: Start with washing your hair as you normally would. Do you use a conditioner? Use the tiniest amount at the ends ONLY to avoid greasy hair.
Step 2: Towel-dry your hair gently.
The secret product is the ONE AND ONLY – Bumble and Bumble spray:
I was introduced to this brand during my wedding hair trials. My hair stylist would use this to get my hair slightly stiffer, which would make the end result more defined and prettier!
The element that does the magic is the sea salt. It is also very hydrating to the hair.
Step 3: Spray this liquid all over your hair, focusing on the roots. Be generous, but also mindful to not overdo it 🙂
Step 4: Time for a massage! Flip your hair forward and do a quick 2-minute massage using only your finger tips.
In the photos below, you can see a big difference in my hair already once I have sprayed the liquid all over and massaged my head!
Step 5: If you want, you can now use a tiny amount of your hair protection product.
Step 6: Now you can do two things: (i) either let it air-dry, or (ii) use a blow dryer. Personally, after seeing the results of both, I would recommend to use a blow dryer. It adds that EXTRA volume and texture to your hair.
Using a blow dryer: if you choose to use a blow dryer, there are some things to keep in mind to achieve the best outcome.
Slide your fingers in your hair and gently pull it up. Use your other hand to handle the blow dryer, making sure the heat is applied to the roots. Continue this process across your scalp. So, again, place your hand on a different spot of your head, pull the hair up and blow dry. The middle and ends of your hair can be blow dried as you normally would.
Step 7: Gently section your hair and clip the section away that you won’t be using.
Step 8: Take your curling wand and start curling it away from your face, pointing the wand downwards.
The size of the wand is a personal choice. I personally want medium-defined, visible curls so I went for the medium.
Step 9: Gently run your finger through your hair to loosen the curls and make them look soft.
Step 10: Spray your hair lightly with a hair spray.
VOILA! YOU ARE READY 🙂
A short story of success:
My younger cousin (Tanvi) in Amsterdam is experiencing very thin hair and, unlike mine, Tanvi has straight hair, which makes it worse at times. So when I tried the Bumble & Bumble and it worked magic for me, Tanvi just came into my mind straight away!
I wanted to help her to achieve the hair she would love 🙂 And so I was telling her about this product and convinced her to use it. She is very particular about hair products for obvious reasons. Moreover, I offered to apply it for her once and show her the end result.
So, I did all the steps as mentioned above and the outcome was:
This was the final look: nice bouncy and curly hair. She was in looooove with it and that made me soooo happy 🙂
Moreover, Tanvi also tried it on her own with straight hair and it turned out so pretty!
Let me know how you experience it – please comment below, I would really like to know!
